Default clutch play....????

i recently got a King Cobra installed, about a month ago. but all the sudden just the other day my clutch has a lot of play in it. i am not having any problems shifting, down shifting, or any slippage. it just feels like you have to push the clutch in more to engage, i dont understand why all the sudden it would start doing it. it almost feels like when you replace your brakes and your brake pedal has all that pay in it until you get the air outta the lines. what should i do???

mine is doing the same thing and the clutch pedal is viberating very bad i have a ram clutch in and there are a few things 1- change the clutch linkage to an aftermarket like bbk from summit racing. 2- make sure u had the flywheel resurfaced. 3 just put ur foot behind the clutch pedal and pull it up. maybe that will be some help

whoa whoa whoa.... mine isnt doing anything like that. it is not vibrating or anything along those lines. it just feels like there is more play in the pedal. i know that i got my flywheel resurfaced, it just feels like there is a little bit of dead space in the pedal. but who knows. it sounds like yours is going out though.

You could adjust the clutch per the owners manual... lift up with your foot while in gear and engine off.. then slowly depress the pedal. A clicking sound indicates adjustment has been made.

most likely its the clutch quadrant stretching, anytime you get an aftermarket clutch you should upgrade to an aftermarket quadrant / adjuster setup.

Did you feel a snapping or clicking in the clutch pedal when pressing it shortly afer getting the new clutch?
Could have snapped some teeth off the quadrant., causing it to not self adjust.

I doubt a clutch cable could stretch beyond the self adjusters limit.

I don't know if any of you have driven the 2003 Cobra, but it has to be nearly pressed all the way to engage. Maybe he just is not used to the new higher performing clutch. I know my 96 Cobra did not have to be pushed in all the way to engage, so it took some time to get used to it.
