I lost 2-4-R in my 97 Cobra, nothing happened, i just went to shift to 4th and it doesnt go in. Its like its blocked out of all the bottom gears. Is it shot, or something blocking it? any info would be appreciated, as well as good places to look for a replacement if need be. Thanks in advance.

I have a 99 cobra and I couldn't get it into 3rd or 5th. The problem for me was worn out clutch componets. I did have 150,000k+ on these componets though. But, when I replaced those parts it ran like a dream. I don't know how many miles you have on your car but I think that would be a good place to start if you haven't. Hope this helps
