Default Grinding Into Third???

Anytime I shift hard into third it grinds...bad...could it be bad synchros? After a race or twoit will grind into third even with an easy shift. If I push the clutch in then wait to shift it doesn't grind though. Just got a new short throw shifter it seems like it does it more now. Any advice? Does this happen to anyone else? Should I be prepared to buy a new tranny? I heard these ones were good for up to 800 hp though...

You and me have the same problem.. I have a steed tri-ax. It doesn't have anything to do with the shifter. Its the synchros. Mine has been doing it for almost a year, so depending on how hard you run your car you should be ok for awhile.

Try some GM syncromesh in the tranny should help out with the grinding.
Shifter probably doesn't have much if anything to do with it.
