Hey guys,

I have a burnt orange 1997 Mustang GT, and am probably at the end of the road before dropping high dollar into my car. I want to know what you guys would suggest as far as it goes for the next step? I have a friend really wanting to hook up a nitrous kit but I dont really want to do that. I dont have top dollar, and i know a blower would solve all problems..My cars mods include...
-3.73 gears
-75 MM Throttle Body
-Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump
-BBK pulley kit
-BBK cold air kit
-180* thermostat
-SCT chip (Still tuning)
-UPR offroad X pip (MIL elimator kit)

Much more, but the main basic bolt ons are on the list. I just had the chip installed, and haven't gotten a wide band tune on it yet. But for some reason, more than likely traction issues, I cant beat my buddies foxbody 5.0 with 4.10 gears. Its got some basic bolt ons, but honestly I dont have traction anyway, and I do stay right with him. My question, since the suspension is modded a little, would be the next best mod..? Id love to have a blower but I dont have that kind of money. Thanks guys.

Hands down, PI swap. It is the Head/Cams/Intake from a 99+ GT (Get 02+ heads, for more spark plug threads, and a Intake with the Aluminum crossover)

This will bump your compression to about 10.5:1 so you will need to use 93- but you will get an easy 60 or so rwhp, esp with some mods. If you want an extra kick, since you already have it down to the shortblock, you could throw in a set of cams for another good 20 or so rwhp, and a better powerband. This will REALLY waken up your car, and give you a powerband beyond 4500 rpm.

If you shop around and find everything used, you could get the entire kit for about 700-1000, depending on how good the deals are. If you can do the swap yourself, it is the best bang for your buck, and every other mod will be even more effective due to this.
