Default Better in or out?

Im looking to upgrade, on a budget. I was wondering what was more effective as far as cost. I'm deciding between a bullitt intake/accufab intake combo, or longtube headers and full exhaust. Any help would be nice.

intakes on stock head 2v cars are basically useless, espcially on a bolton only car.

What type of headers do you guys recommend? I think my exhaust is open enough already. Ive got a custom o/r h-pipe. 2 1/2 inches I believe, with Flowmaster 40s. I know longtubes will require the system to be redone. Just don't know what kind to get.

If your in an area where the smog ****'s arent too bad, go longtubes. If your in an area with heavy smog restrictions, save your money for a blower as you'll be screwed with lt's come smog time (paying to remove/install stock/remove stock/install lt's or doing it yourself is a major pain). Which leads to full exhaust, there are way too many different combos that potentially sound nice goto a mustang meet and listen to what you like and decide from there. Welcome to MF and have fun modding.

I live in SC. They could care less about emissions, or sound level either for that matter. Is they're a certain brand of longtubes or will just any generic brand work, sorry for so many questions, I just dont wanna buy a bunch of junk and waste my money.

stick with a name brand like BBK, SLP, MAC, etc.

Make sure you get a ceramic coated header so they don't rust.

x2, plus they also help reduce operating temps by a little.

I believe Bassani headers require bassani midpipes, there may be a few other ones as well. Also there are certain lt's that may not fit due to the kind of tranny that you have.

I live in a place where emissions is a pretty big deal and i was running long tubes. As long as you run some sort of cat that is not hollow it will pass. And as far as my ceramic coated MAC LT's go...I hated them because they rusted within a year. I like the things i see from BBK though.
