Would you buy a 2k2 GT convertible with about 40-50k miles for $9,000?

Vehicle has a rebuilt title, but the damage was minor and only cosmetic, nothing done to the motor, etc.
Runs, drives perfect, can't even tell anything was done to it.
Not if it was going to be my daily driving car. What are your plans for the car? I would consider it if I was going to do some major modifications and was positive I would never resell it to somebody else.

My '03 GT has a salvage title, got it off Ebay. Paid 14k for it with 7500 miles and 5k worth of mods and body enhancements. Best purchase I ever made; car handles like a dream. I had the car inspected and the mechanic said there did not appear to be any damage whatsoever to the frame or anything else.

Thanks Dan.

Dan, the $9k would be after all the repairs are done. It is the total cost of the damaged vehicle + parts + labor. I just wanted to make sure you know that.

After you said "If you have the money, have them remove some body panels and see how extensive the damage was." I wasn't sure if you realized that, cause they are naturally gonna have the damaged body parts off of it when they do the repairs.

I was thinking you were buying it repaired, those pictures can have so much hidden damage.

No. The reson behind the post is thay I am looking for the right damaged one to buy. I have a body shop where I fix my vehicles at cost. I was just curious, if I was to sell it after a some time of use would people be interested in buying it for that price.
The way I look at it, if you can save 2, 3, 4 grand on what this car would normally cost you - why not? It doesn't have warranty left anyways. And if the damage didn't affect the structure, nor the motor/tranny, but was purely cosmetic; that's a deal. You can put the money you saved into upgrades and have a mean a$$ ride for less.
