so long story, but my buddy ran my nitrous line over my intake, some how it got hot and melted a hole in my intake. so i need to get a new intake, and figure i outta just get a aftermarket. so whats the best aftermaret intake for the buck?

There are none, our cars respond horribly to just an aftermarket intake.

just get yourself a cheap replacement oem one.

They don't suck its just that you need heads and cams to really take advantage of the intake. If you have stock heads and cams then an aftermarket intake does next to nothing.

not only do you need h/c without f/i it will not be worth it all.

I don't know which year or motor you have, but it sounds like a good time to swap to a PI intake. Cheaper than an aftermarket one, and from what everone told me in my intake thread, much better n/a performance mod than an aftermarket intake.

+1, unless you do cams and more importantly heads they are next to worthless. usually you will only gain a few peak WHP but loose WTQ.

I did see an interesting article in MM&FF where they put the professional products one on, and they somehow gained WTQ without much gain in horsepower.

however, its just not worth the expense IMO. Buy a PI intake with alumum crossover and be done with it.
