Engine swap?

Engine swap?
Have a '95 Shinoda Boss. Car has 245,000 miles on it (you would never know by looking at it, I take good care of the car). Original engine died a long time ago at 120,000 when an oil filter was improperly installed by one of the quick change places, they paid to get another engine, I picked up a 80,000 mile '94 Cobra engine at that point in time and put in the car. Well, that engine now has 205,000 on it and is burning oil to the tune of about a quart every 1000 miles. The transmission is also going down hill, synchro's are worn. Car has a rearend out of a '97 GT with 3.73 gears. So what does this have to do with the 4.6 section?
Well, a buddy of mine has a complete '03 Mach 1 engine and trans with the harness and computer sitting in his garage. He was going to use it in a '66 Mustang but went a different route instead once finding out the amount of work it would have involved (long story). Anyway, I know 95's were the last year of the 5.0 and all, so what would it take to put this '03 4.6 engine and trans in my '95? Would I have to change the K member or anything, or will it just drop in? This car is a daily driver, by no means a race car, but I'll run a ricer or another Mustang or whatever every now and then for the fun of it. So not really concerned with allout performance. Obviously since I have driven it this far, I really like the car and have no plans to get rid of it, just want another engine so I'll be good to go for another couple hundred thousand... Any help greatly appreciated.

You'll need a K member, the Mach 1 computer and instrment cluster. I'm sure there's other little stuff here and there too.
Got any pix?

RE: Engine swap?
I would be happy to post pics of the car. Is there some way to upload to this site? I see there is a Galllery but can't seem to figure out how to use it. I don't have any pics of the engine, but go to Google Image Search and type in Mach 1 engine and that's pretty much it. That's awesome that I can use the Mach 1 gauge cluster, I have always liked those better then the one in my car, which is just the stock '95 cluster with white face overlays.
Which K member will I need? I'm guessing '96-'98? I know in '95 there is no difference between the V6 and V8 K members, is it the same from '96 and up? (just trying to broaden my options as to cars to get the parts from)
This car is a daily driver, so I will not be putting a stroker in it.
edit: another thing, I see that the Mach 1 clusters have a digital odometer. I'm guessing the mileage is stored in the computer. Is there some way to correct that mileage to match my car? This car must pass inspection, if I show up with the odometer reading a couple hundred thousand less then it did last year, they are going to slap it with an odometer fraud title, which I guess dosen't really matter as high mileage as the car is, but I'd like to just have a normal clear title if possible.

RE: Engine swap?
yeah just get a 96-04 tubular K member, that would work. I'm not sure about the mileage thing though. You can post pictures by just clicking on the "Add Image" button to the very right of the toolbar, but I think you have to have a photobucket.com or something like that to post them onlien.

RE: Engine swap?
Well you're going to have to switch clusters because the speedo on the 95 is mechanical and the speedo on the 03 trans is electrical. You could justswitch the speedo to a mechnical set up. I'm pretty sure you can use your stock cluster then.
I'm not sure how you could add miles to the 03 cluster though. That is a funny concept, adding miles and all.

RE: Engine swap?
My car does not have a mechanical speedometer. It is electronic, and has a speed sensor on the tail shaft housing of the trans. My transmission is from a '92 GT, and even that car was electronic.
BTW: awesome project you got going there with the blown 5.4!
