I can only reccomend getting a Stainless Steel exhaust set-up, as far as sound, that's up to you. If you go to PYPES homepage they give sound clips

I got a Flowmaster Cat back on my 02 and love it. Sounds reallygood at idle and when you mash the gas it sounds like a V-8 should. I have read on this forum and the LS1 forum that some people find the SLPLoudmouth setup to be really loud inside the car and end up taking the thing off.

RE: exhaust
Just put my pypes off road x pipe on today... looks to be good quality. +1 on stainless. the catback is magnaflow so i can't say anything on pypes mufflers, but their welds/flanges on the x pipe looked good.

RE: exhaust
Exhust is more about sound a durability than anything. Some people aren't looking for something long lasting so they can change their sound later. Some people like the classice chambered sound, other prefer resonator types. Listen to the clips.
