Default stabilizer shocks

If you install new upper and lower rear control arms, do you still need the stabilizer shocks that got from the rear end to the frame?

I'm putting on my lower control arms soon and was wondering if I should leave the quad shocks or not. I believe I heard you remove them when you install uppers???... not sure.
