setting keyless entry

RE: setting keyless entry
I'm going to assume you have a 2004 mustang. First, put the key in the ignition. Turn it on and off 8 times, leaving it in the on position on the 8th turn. Then push the lock button on the remote/remotes that you want to program. The locks will cycle automatically. Turn the key to the off position, wait about 30 seconds and the locks should cycle one more time. Then take the key out and try the remotes. If it doesn't work, try it again.
Edit: I re-read your original post and now I'm confused too! The above info may not be what you are wanting. That is how you program the keyless remotes.

Wow, my keyless entry hasn't been working these last few months. Not a big deal, it never really bothered me. I thought it was a trip to the dealership kind of problem. But I went ahead and did the 8 turn trick and it worked like a charm! Thanks so much!

RE: setting keyless entry key pad
Never seen a stang w/ a number pad on the door... but my thunderbird had one and it had the factory code on the door jamb, and on one of the hinges in the trunk. Should be 5 digits.
But on a stang?? Oh well, its a ford.
