You may need some stiffer front springs to make up for the extra weight?

me and a friend put a 5.0 in his v6 and the only thing we had to change was the k-member, tranny, rear-end driveshaft and put a new fuel pump in but im not sure if u have to have one. As far as the springs go im not for sure but he went ahead and changed them out, it only took us around 3 days to do but u should for sure do it

He can put a Detroit-Truetrac on it. That will be strong enough for the power. You will also need a new tranny. I would definitely hope he switches out the suspension. That would be such a bad ride. That much power with the wimpy V6 suspension. lol You also have pretty high miles so I would definitely say get new suspension and new tranny. You did say that you had 250k miles right?

To the OP,I have a V6 so don't take anything I say too personal. lol Mine has a few things done to it though.
