Check with Ford about recalls...I got a 2000 too... haven't had a problem with mine but i hear they are quite problematic on the 2000's. How'd you find out it was the intake/What were the symptoms?

I have a 98 GT and exactly a year ago in late march the intake manifold cracked. From what i hear the crown victoria's had the same problem and were recalled since its the same motor, but my ford dealer did not honor my car as a recall and i had to get the stock one for $1,200 installed. Just brought my car in on March 25th and what do you know, they say the manifold they put in is leaking so there replacing it for free this time.

Heh, if you have to replace it anyway, maybe you can find a good deal on a bullitt intake. Then you'll probably not have to worry about it cracking (since it's aluminum and not plastic).

Whoever paid $1,200 for a stock intake got screwed big time. try looking at... www.mustangsunlimited.com
or.... www.brothersperformance.com
or.... www.steeda.com Or ebay, you can find a new intake stock or PI for about 100-150 bucks.
