BBK Shorties vs. L/Ts???
I just purchased BBk shorties for my 2003 GT and was wondering if i was wasting my time and money?? I have heard how much of a pain they are and don't won't to go to a whole lot of trouble for a little to no gain. I have heard that L/Ts are better for sound and HP gain? They are considerably more expensive and don't know that those will be a better choice for the money or not. Need advice?? I also bought an off-road x-pipe from PYPES. Was curious about HP gain and sound for that as well.
shorties really arent worth the hassle
what really is there to say for the midpipe...its a little less restrictive and louder...thats about all there is to say. 2v's do crap gains from boltons

do not expect much from shorties.. they will free up a lil but not enough for you to notice your sound will change i have the bbk shorties myself and only cuz i live in cali so if you live somewhere that you can run lt's sell those shorties on ebay and get a set of lt's
I was having another look at the shorty headers from BBK that I got and noticed that there were no new gaskets! Am i suppose to use the stock originals or did American Muscle and or BBK screw me??!??

the shorties won't do much for you, they will help a touch with sound though.
*Just a thought - why didn't you ask this question BEFORE you purchased the shorties?*
About the midpipe. I installed mine like a month ago, and it makes a world of difference in the sound. I'm very pleased with the fitment that comes with the pypes o/r midpipe. Mine was an X
