RE: What cars have 4.6L PI donor motors in them?
My first and most hopefull option:
I may have located a 2002 Mustang GT crate motor unused for $1400, still waiting to hear back from the guy.
Second option so far is a friend has found a 2002 Crown Vic takeout motor. It has the 8 bolt crank on it. I think it is a 2V motor, will ask more questions when the first option fails. It has 71K miles on it. As far as I can tell I will need to transplant all of my accessories on to it and buy a PI manifold for it because I think the Crown Vic uses a different manifold and my non-PI manifold…..well it’s non-PI! This motor carries a $1400 price tag. To me that seems steep for a used motor. Is there anything else I need to know about doing this option?
Other things I am considering are a $3200 + S&H 2002 Mustang crate motor, the $1400 PI head conversion mentioned earlier in this thread, buying a pair of PI heads and having them rebuilt and installing them with a new PI intake.
GOD I hope that $1400 crate motor is still available!

ORIGINAL: Ehmark
Just go on ebay and buy the head swap kit from parkway ford. 1400 and its a good chance to learn your engine and clean your pistons.
