how 2 remove the center console?
hey guys, im trying to remove my center console the one with the arm rest, e-brake, cupholders and that sh*ty coin holder. wanted to kno do any of u guys kno how 2 remove this console? if u guys could post pics of how to take this off, that would b a huge help. thanx
Well, I haven't removed the ones in out cars, but I do a LOT of interior work at work. Look around for anything that looks like a cover, there's probably some small bolts holding the console down. Also, try opening the arm rest and seeing if there's and screws or bolts in there. Sometimes they like to hide them in there. You'll want to pop off the shifter bezel, also. Just keep taking things off and pulling up on it. Where you feel it snag, look in that area for some type of fastener. Just be careful not to break any clips or anything.
thanx alot. im goin to try and search for areas like the ones u mentioned. do u kno if the inside of the armrest, where u hide cd's and other junk, can come out?
alright lets see if i can remember:
1. open the arm rest and remove the rubber stops
2. benieth them is 2-3 philips heads screws, remove the inner container (cds etc)
3.under that are two philips heads screws, remove them
4. remove the shift **** or auto handle
5. remove the shifter bezel (just pull from the top, clipped in)
6. two philips behind that connecting to dash
hard part
7. with the ebrake up as far as possible, lift and twist theconsole around until it clears the ebrake
8. remove fog light switch wire
