Default question??

Im in the process of installing new struts in my 97 cobra bc im sick of the eibachs. Ive got the front passenger side done but, the problemis that there is about an inch of play between the spacers on the strut shaft and the caster camber plates (mm plates). My car is still on jack stands, should i put it back on the ground and c how it sits b4 i put more spacers on? Or will the play tighten up after my car is sittin on the ground? thx
