Is the automatic shifter mechanism the same in the 94 GT as well as the 98 GT? My friend totalled his car and I want to remove his shifter and put it in my car since I have some problems with my mechanism. Will it all work the same or are there differences such as the OD button, etc... Thanks for the help.

 

Well, from what I've read, I believe that all automatic Mustangs from 79-98 use the same transmission, but don't take my word for it, just what I've heard. All I would suggest is to remove his shifter and remove yours, and check to see if they are similar or if they have differences. I would be willing to bet if the transmissions are the same, the shifter will probably work.
