Without a jack and a creeper your fuel filter is gonna suck to change.

If you have an auto then have a shop do it cause your not gonna get much clearance to drop the tranny pan.

I had access to a lift and the right tools and I still had a bit of gas drip on the rags. Ofcourse that wont happen if you shut the fuel filter and purge the lines by starting and letting the car die of fuel starvation. I felt bad doing it so I just decided to tough it out.

I wouldn't work on a car without a jack and jack stands. First of all it will just be a pain and second of all without jackstands it isn't really safe. Spend the cash on a jack and jack stands. They are a very good investment.

buy a jack and stands, you can usually get a good deal on them as a package from sears.

It should cost less to buy the jack and stands than the labor will from a dealership.

Get a jack and stands, also a set of ramps. Its easier to use the ramps for quick things like oil changes where it would take as much time jacking up the car as it would to do the work.
