If you find someone who really knows what they're doing, you may be able to have it repaired. My ex-father-in-law owns a glass shop and I've seen him fix some pretty messed windshields by filling in the cracks with some sort of resin and you never would've believed it had a crack.

here is a picture of what the crack looks like. The dashboard should give a reference on how big the crack is.

I got my GT's windshield done by Safelite Auto Glass for $170 installed at my house. Call several places, normally you'll find a half decent deal.

And generally if you can feel a big crack in the windshield (which i'm gonna go ahead and assume you can feel that big of a crack..) repairing it is only going to compromise the integrity of the windshield, and most glass companies aren't gonna back up that work. That's what my installer told me at least.

fuuny thing is i cant feel the crack, only the point of origin where the rock hit the glass. But i really wouldnt want to take any chances tho,so i think i might as well as bite the bullet and get it replaced. How is the quality work of safelite. I might give them a call as that sounds like a good deal
