Default Muffler question

I have SLP LM2's on my stang now and want it quieter. Will a set of magnaflows or flowmaster mufflers clamp right up to the existing SLP exhaust pipes?

you want quieter... your best bet is to just get some hi-flow cats and get them welded in... otherwise, like stated above, you aren't getting much quiter

The Magnaflows/Folwmasters have offset inlet/outlets so they will not clamp right in. Check the SLP powerflos, they'll quiet it down alot and are made for the existing SLP catback so they'll slip right in.

Ya I considered the hi flow cats just not sure how much they would quiet it down or just swap out the whole catback.

It'd be measurably quieter

cats will quiet it down the most IMO, but it also helps make the car more street legal in some states. i know in PA you can do whatever you want to the exhaust as long as you have cats on it but in some states like Cali, if you put bigger tips on there you get in trouble (not that bad but from what I hear Cali sucks when trying to upgrade cars)
