Hey, i have 2000 gt and was wanting to be able to beat my friends 2000 z28. Whats it going to take.

Your gonna need a rocket up your ***...JP, but youll need gears, tires, and more then a few bolt ons.

There are no short cuts. You'll either need boost or engine work if you want to take him Naturally Aspirated(heads/cams/intake....) and intake/exhaust work would help as well. LS1s are no joke. Your other option is some serious weight reduction (to uncomfortable levels). Ohh yeah, and you'll need gears.

I am kicking around gears next, but don’t know which ratio to go with (4.10’s or 3.73’s). My daily drive time is probably 70% highway, and 30% non-highway driving FYI.

get 4.10. jdaniel made a post awhile ago if anybody bothered searching. he got really good mileage on the highway with 4.10s. just get some 4.10s and some juice.
