Default Removing stock emblems

Are they riveted on or glued on? What is the best method for removal without damaging the car or the emblem?

I think it is just a 3M adhesive....you would use a hair dryer to heat it up and pull it off....I think?

The "Ford" oval emblem has 2 pins. The "GT" emblems are attached with 3m adhesive. Get a hair dryer and heat the adhesive, take a piece of dental floss and slide between the emblem and body, slide through to cut the adhesive.

It is for the two "35th Anniversary" emblems on the side of the 99 GT. I will try the "floss" approach.

There shouldn't be any pins on the fenders, but there WILL be holes.

i wish it was possible to just take off all the badges and not have holes. i wouldnt pull mine off with i was gonna have holes there. unless you put on some other badges there. i really want to pull my ford badge on the back of the car. i just dont like it, to much chrome. its the only other thing thats chrome other than my exhuast tips and grill. i just dont like it. doesnt look like it really fits on the back end cause its the only thing on the car that says ford.

well how many ford badges do you want on the car? dont all ford cars just come with the emblem on the rear of the car?? and your worried about the miniscule amount of chrome in the ford oval? alrightttttt? but hey whatever floats your boat.

btw code3 has the right idea, just use fishing string or something and gently pull it through

I'm taking off my 96-98 GT emblems and putting on 99+ GT emblems, I like them better.
