Car vibrating?

Car vibrating?
In between 1300 and 1800rpms. Whole car shudders a bit, but its felt more in the steering wheel. Its not gradual either, RIGHTbefore 1300ish and RIGHT after 1800rpms, it stops completely. Doesnt fade in or out at all. Its morenoticeable in park and neutral, and barely noticable while driving, practically disappears in 2nd gear and up. Doesnt happen at all in any other rpm range, and theres no noise at all with the vibration.
Ideas? Im hearing everything from crank position sensor being off, to crank being slightly unbalanced, to flex plate or torque converter being loose? But if any of those were the case, wouldnt the vibrating be getting worse as the rpms climb? or worse while the car is moving? instead of in park or neutral?

RE: Car vibrating?
Well this just ****ing sucks, half the peoplei ask say it might be the crank or torque converter or flex plate because its a heavy vibration meaning theres some power behind whats vibrating.
The other half say it cant be those because the vibration goes away at higher rpms and gets real weak while driving at those lowerrpms. That if it was one of those, the vibration would get real bad as rpms climbed.
Idk where to start, cause the crank pulley i have on there is used, and we kinda ruled it out cause the odds of my old one and this old one vibrating at nearly the same range is too slim.
So much **** to start with, new pulley? just say **** it and get underdrives and see if either of those help? how can i tell if a motor mount is bad? hell even a tranny mount? Id rather not start by disconnecting the tranny or ripping the block apart.

I would say its almost 100% positive that its the motor mount. justa set of some nice aftermarket ones and call it a day. sry to hear it tho its alot of work doin it urself or alot of money get someone to do it.

RE: Car vibrating?
Hmm, thats the second thing on the list to check out i guess, im starting by buying a brand new harmonic balancer.
The one that was installed wednesday had a small bend/crack on the outer lip, where the belt sits. Looks like it was kinda pried off with a prybar. The odds seem low that both my old balancer and this used one would vibrate at almost the same rpm range, but it seems more logical than the crank, flex plate, or torque converter being outta balance, seeing how they were never even touched.
gettin a new pulley seems to be the most logical and least invasive start.
