Default Trunk Rattle

So i had a 1999 V6 mustang and i dropped a 12 inch sub in the trunk and got some pretty bad trunk rattle and i had no idea what was causing it. then i totaled that car and i now have a 2000 V8 and i put the same sub in the back and the trunk still rattles. i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how to fix it.

Thanks

Well the car has had close to 10 years now to loosen up and start to rattle a bit. You could gut your trunk and start tightening everything down and cleaning it up. If the lid it bouncing up and down tighten the hinges and latches. If it still goes try some sound deadener

+1 I just bought a ton of it gonna do the whole interior and trunk. Seems like a great product and from the look and feel of it. They make kits just for the trunk and it's not bad $$$ wise. Try that and see what happens.

check the jack + wrench and all that.. if it's not in all the way flush it could certainly rattle.
