Ok now I have faced RPM problems before and it usually just took a good cleaning of the MAF, TB, and IAC but this time its different. First, the car wouldn't stay idle for more than 5 sec before dying on me. I finally got it to start and tried reving the engine so see if the RPMs would stay up. When i pressed the gas pedal all the way down it stayed at 750RPMs which is incredibly low. I then noticed there was black smoke comming out of the exhaust. I popped the hood and unplugged the MAF sensor just to try it out. The result was rough idling between 500-1500 RPMs. In other words the car is undrivable. Anyone have any clue whats the prob??? Im guessing i need a new IAC valve and MAF sensor. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

 

uhhh, sounds like timing is WAY WAY off for some reason, did you just have it worked on somewhere?? What yr is it, did you cross plug wires??
