Default Timing problems

I am in the middle of timing my car. I have the heads off and need to know where to put the crank either in safe mode(12 o clock) or at TDC. Also where are the timing marks for the cam gears supposed to be. I really need to know soon so i can get the car back together. Ford calls for TDC but using ford special tools. What do i need to do.

Default RE: Timing problems

Well, hind sight being 20/20, you should've set the crank at cylinder 1 TDC before taking everything apart for the ease of putting it back together.. As for the cams, there should be marks showing the TDC position for cylinder 1...
