Is the 4.6 in a stang the same as a 4.6 in a Grand marquis??? I no it might be a stupid question but am just wondering

Hold the horses.......[sm=smiley3.gif]lol. Lets clarify his question first. Yes, they are 4.6 2v ford engine but some things are different, like the change over to the PI, not till 01. The intakes/tb/plen are different. etc....

true, true. For simplicity's sake though, if you go into an auto parts store stuff like belt tensioners (3 bolt/single) all that stuff will transfer over.

One tried to race me a week ago....lol. I was like what's up with this guy, then at a light (very secluded place - with no one around) I raced him to the speed limit (55), and had him by a car. He proceeded to do the ricer fly by.

errrr. since the intake tubing is different probably not.

It's a Grand Marquis dude. Just sit back and enjoy the grandpa-esque ride. It's not mean't to be for performance. Shoulda went and bought a Marauder.

I believe the Romeo to Windsor years are different as well.

I could be mistaken on that, but I know that heads off of newer CrownVics/G.Marquis take a minor bit of work to swap directly with a 99-early01 Mustangs with the Windsors.

Well i got the g. marquis for 2grand, and hava an01 v6 stang that im plannin on sellin, the marquis has 56k and the stang has 72k andpaid 5500
Ps the only reason i bought the marquis is b/c my dad knew someone at work who was sellin it and it was cheap so i took it and now i am tryin to sell the stang
