I currently have 99 cobra. Im in the process of installing Long tube BBK headers. Where can i find some copper header gaskets. Ive also heard of an obnoxious noise being inside the car when driving with the headers is that because of not a good header connection.

 

When I installed my headers I installed Fel-Pro header gaskets and used a copper sealer on them. I also used the Stage 8 locking header bolts so you wont have to worry about heat or vibration loosening them up. That combination has given me a leak free seal. As far as any annoying sounds, if you hear any then you prolly have a leak. The only sounds comming from my headers are the deep growl of the engine . Also make sure you take a razor and scrape any previouse gasket material from the cylinder heads. If you do all that you'll spend a little more money and time but, definatly wont have any future problems.

 

how hard is it to do your own header install?

 

I got Percey's header gaskets with stahge 8 header bolts.
