Default 4v engine problems

Hey guys. I got an 03 termi with some trouble. I was getting in my cobra the other day and noticed antifreeze leaking on the parking lot. Looked like it was coming from the heater core (passenger side with a few drops inside the car too). I couldn't go very far before it started heating up (I kept a close eye on the temp gauge). I had to stop and let it cool down a few times before I could make it to the shop to be fixed. The weird thing is that although it leaked all that antifreeze, the reservoir stayed full. After a week of working on it that included changing the heater core, new thermostat, pressure testing the cooling system for leaks, checking radiator flow and checking the water pump and lines, and the fan is working but it stillruns hot! Not only does it run hot now, at around 3000 rpms, my cobra starts jerking and loosing power! Not cool at all. Basically they didn't know what else to check so I had to take it to Ford today to get it looked at. Any ideas anyone?

Apparently the thermostat they put in was a dud. Another new thermostat and a fuel filter fixed the problem.
