Default sputtering under load

I was driving home from summit today and shortly after leaving while cruising on the highway i noticed my engine missing when i went around someone. I was only doing 65-70 in fifth and just kinda eased on the gas like normal to go around a semi. It kept doing it especially at low rpms in any gear even after i got off the highway. So i stopped at a gas station and put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in. I started it back up and left and it was still stuttering. I drove about 5 more miles and stopped to get something to eat. After about a half hour i started it up and left. It only stuttered a little bit. As i drove home it went away completely. Do you think the cleaner actually did its job>? The only thing that makes me think it was the fuel is that i got on it hard going up the on ramp onto 76 and when i shifted i didnt keep my foot in the gas like i noremally do getting on, i let out between shifts. So it really rose the front end into the air from 1st to second. My longshot guess is that it sloshed up sediment or something in the tank and sent it right through to the fuel system. It was just so random is all. Seems to fine now. Anyone have any thoughts?

Mine did this to me last week. Checked my codes and was getting a misfire on the #2 cylinder. I ohmed out the coil and it tested ok, checked the plug and looked great. I started looking a little closer and found that the boots on the COP were getting wore down and getting cracks in them causing them to arc over to the head. I had some moisture in my plug wells and on the boots so that was amplifying the misfire. I ended up changing the boots and springs inside the COP today and so far seems to be working great. I would start out with getting your codes scanned and see if anything comes up. Just another thing to check.

if its only happened that one time...and it happend shortly after you added some cleaner to the fuel (and never threw any codes)....then it prob was/is what you suspected.

on a side note...you should change your sig!! this is a mustang forum....not a 4wd trucking forum!

Well its updated now, but it wont let me load a picture. It keeps saying the file is too large. Its just a pic from my cell phone. Im not sure how to make it any smaller.

the only way i know of making pics smaller is, i had to download a free program that resizes pics. just go to download.com and type in free pic re-sizer on the search. there is a lot of em. and they are easy to use.
