new stock svt
Back in '03 i purchased a black cobra svt, simply because at the time this was the most powerful muscle car available w/o getting into the 100k saleens & vipers etc....or is it?.....i retired in Feb. & did myself the favor of purchasing a 2001 intimidator ss i came across....i am and always will be a ford man, but i respect chevy & dodge as well, i paid 54k for the car, it doesnt even have 1k miles on it, i always loved watching the black 3 and just couldnt pass this one by, anyway this car is very impressive, its one of 8 stage II which comes w/ an LS6 and over 431 hp from the dealer...both cars are stock down to the filter, the ss will always be that way, so what do i need to do to my svt to make it faster?...how much modifying is it gonna take?

jrherald, i doubt a kenny bell alone is going to put it over the top, this ss has a LS6 not LS1, and its stock from GM, but not stock LS6, GMMG made these cars for dale earnhardt chevrolet in newton, nc......they have hit 11.2's stock

A local forum guy went 11.40s on MT ET streets with a 1.7 60', ported stock eaton supercharger, midpipe/catback, and a few light IRS mods.
In any case, if this car is going 11.20s "stock" its sure as hell not doing so with 435 flywheel (or RW) horsepower and stock street tires. For an 11.20 on that weight/power setup your going to need one hell of a launch.

yes 11.20's, just because you guys own mustangs doesnt mean you should say termi> any ss, stock for stock the intimidator ss is faster dousch ....its 431 rwhp...the cobra's 390 flywheel hp.......these limited edition camaros are the same builds as zle & berger maro's...which will out run cobra's....some ppl can be so pathetic....im a ford guy....but im not gonna be stupid just because i prefer mustang over camaro.....get over yourself.....let me guess the termi w/ a kenne bell will outrun a 2009 ZLE Corvette Z06 too huh...give it a rest

so why the fu*k did you ask then???? im not a ford guy i just own a mustang. i like all cars im not in love with one brand. the new kenne bell big mouth blower should put the cobra at like 550 +hp from what ive read thats why i said that.
