What's Up Fellas? HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL!!!!!!!

I got a Beltronics rx65 for fathers day, was wondering the best place to mount it and if my tint would cause any problems for it. I have 20% all around. I also would like to know how fast is to fast for the detector? Thanks in advance.

I mounted mine in the top left (drivers side) corner of my windshield barely below the front brow tint. It leaves your windshield area looking clean and open, yet great for getting the most visibility for the laser

i mounted mine in the middle. I'm not sure if the tint matter. but i got both side windows pass. driver. and both rear sides tinted to 2.5% and still pick things up. as far as how fast is too fast. depends on traffic and such if your in traffic it will take a bit longer for the cop to know your the one on his radar i think but if your the only car on the road and your radar goes off hes got his gun on you. and he will know your speed just as fast as you know hes tracking you if you know what i mean. all thats just based on how iv learned to react to mine. iv had it a year and got pulled over once. and it was for my tint not my speed so i think they work well

I got mine in the middle.... No they are not illegal in TX. But you can bet if a cop see's it, he's going to give you a ticket anyway if he pulls you over..

If the officer is using his R.A.D.A.R. correctly there is no detector out there that is fast enough to help you. Once the officer activates his unit, it sends a beam out and back at the speed of light. By the time your detector goes off, his already has your speed locked in. I am also certified by the FCC to operate a R.A.D.A.R. detector if anyone else has questions.

I set mine up right in front of me but low, and ran it off of the ignition. Works great there, and have been saved more than once when goin aroung 90-100.
