Default Installing performance chip

I just bought aJet performance module but do not have the instructions with it. I know I just plug it in to my ecm but that's about it. Has anyone ever installed one of these and if so, are there any special instructions I shouldknow. Also, can I expect any significant horsepower gain from installing this?

Is it a flash style programmer or is it a plug in chip?

When I did my superchip years ago, I had to pull my passenger side kick panel out, unbolt the pcm from the side of the car. There is a rubber plug in the side of the pcm that you have to remove. After you remove the plug, you need to clean the contacts in there with a green pad (or something else non metallic) to make sure the chip makes good contact with the PCM. After that, plug the chip in and leave the rubber plug out. Bolt the PCM back in the car. If I remember correctly, it wont bolt in as easliy as it did before because the chip is in the way. Put the kick panel cover back on and your done.

Another good idea is to run a peice of tape around the pcm and over the chip to hold it in place. That way you dont knock it loose while putting the pcm back in or while driving.

Good idea, mine fit pretty snug when I put it on so I didn't bother but it was a different brand.
