well jasper im probably going to be looking at a 4v 5.4 from a navigator....but what about this? i have this posted on a local forum and one guy said this

you can run a roller cam in the older engine's. a friend on mine has a 69 block 351 and he running a soild roller in it! just takes different lifters. you need the lifters with the tie bars in them. most companys make them

oh and the links you posted, only made it through part of the first one so far, but its a lot of good info....does the same stuff still apply to swapping it to my car? so far the only thing im looking at is for the 351

k member
headers
motor mounts
stiffer springs (maybe)
t5 tranny
gauge cluster out of a 94-98 (mechanical speedo)
ecu out of a HO foxbody
that is true. you need the tir bar lifters and roller is the way to go. your stock springs should be fine. your motor is heavier than a 5.0 and a lot of guys usually dont change there stock springs.
honestly the t5 wont hold a 351. a t5 will barely hold a stock 5.0
looks like your have everything else figured out.

you already have the hood

my buddy just told me he can get me a termie longblock for 2 grand...so im going to start saving...thats way cheaper than building anything
yea but then add in the cost of some termie heads. thats another 1,000. i know i bought some. then the intake and everything. stuff adds up.

if i were you i would look for a teskid block, buy a stroker, and go from there

5.4L DOHC navi engine. 98-00 . Higher flowing heads than a 03 04 cobras. Forged crank factory. Just need rods and pistons.

Go buy ford GT cams($499) and it will be one hell of a engine.

Thats what i wanted to do.

Probably do but it's not going to be cheap either. Plus where are you getting Ford GT cams for $499? Any normal set of cobra cams is at least $1k.
