Default nitrous help

ive been considering getting a nitrous express system for my cobra for 2 reasons. 1) beacause everyone says and knows its the best brand for mustangs and 2) because i cant afford a supercharger and wouldnt be able to for a while. Ive done a lot of research up on it and just want to hear any stories from people with any first hand or second hand experience (happened to you or someone you know, if u read it online or in a magazine, i've probably seen it too). Anything aobut stuff going very wrong, excess maintenence besides the obvious stuff, anything at all would be helpful

Thanks

Well i mean i have heard of people running extremly high amounts (upword 600shot) and destroying there engine, but if you run a 125 shot you should be fine. To be extra safe you coudl get it tuned.

No way dude, a 600 shot is 600 hp therefore you would have ABOUT 840 to 860 hp at the crank, it would explode with stock internals, a "SAFE" shot on stock internals is 50-75 shot, if you were forged everything then 150-175 shot would be ok, but dragsters dont even run a 600 shot

1. I don't think that the brands matter its all the same gas... All a nitrous wet kit consists of is a pair of solenoids, some tubing, a nitrous bottle, and a relay to activate the solenoids. I have a 97 GT with a stock engine and I'm running a 100 shot of gas and I've never experienced any problems I've been running this pretty often for about 3 months now. I fill a 10lb tank a week so I use alot of it If you get nitrous some things you should consider is getting new spark plugs that run colder, and getting an electrical fan. I love my nitrous be safe with it and just ignore all the dumb comments you get about blowing your engine... A stock V8 is manufactured with room for you to upgrade the engine so a 100 shot on an untuned stock engine should be just fine. If you decide to go higher than 100 I would recommend tuning it

never heard of a 600 shot a 200 on a build motor would sound more believable. Ive ran a 50, 75 untuned with no problems and a 100 shot well really a 90 because i used a bigger fuel jet and i ran race gas (109 octane) with no timing retards. Ran it since December with no problems yet but i just ordered a Diablo tuner to be on the safe side.

NX is a bads *** company!!! I would go with that for sure...nothing like a wet kit. BTW a 100 shot would be fine on stock internals. Im runnin 125 cause Im buildin my motor this winter anyway so I dont care.

Nitrous is fun and easy and safe in moderation, just listen to what every1 has been saying.
