Horizontal Damper/Kicker Shocks
My car is creaking from the rear when I start from a stop or hit any slight bump, but it does not creak when I push down on the back end of the car. My mechanic said it is the "Kicker Shocks" in the rear. Do you know where I could buy them, are they a DIY job? Thanks guys!

RE: Horizontal Damper/Kicker Shocks
best replacement is the bilstein axle wraps, part # B36-2149, I would recommend getting a better set of springs, shocks and a much stiffer lca and chucking the quad shocks all together. Or the best thing to do with the sn95 rear suspension is to chuck it and swap in an IRS with all the bushings replaced=P

RE: Horizontal Damper/Kicker Shocks
The blisten shocks are like $100 which are definately an option and Aereon is right, they are the best, but they are really expensive. If you want a cheaper option autozone sells Gabriel brand replacements that are about $20 a piece. They are mislabled as a steering damper in their computer system so you will have to ask for a steering damper. As for the install it is as easy as jacking up the rear, removing the wheels, and two bolts per shock. But if you do this yourself make sure you use PB blaster it will save you many headaches, I am speaking first hand.
