He got pissed when i told him about the 4.10's..almost as if i told him im gay and like it in the ***..i mean wtf? he went on and on about how bad my mpg would be...can anyone find some good points to getting 4.10's? or maybe even 3.73 or 3.90

I got 3.73s like 2 weeks ago and regret not getting 4.10s. My cars a DD and my gas mileage only changed because i like jumpin on the car and feeling the pull from first gear. Most peple see just a couple miles per gallon in change with 4.10's.

Your gas mileage will not suffer at all with 4.10's, unless you do a shat ton of highway driving. There are plenty of reports of people all over this and many other web sites that expeirence little to no drop in MPG. It depends on how and where you drive.

On a side note, if you get 4.10's you will have to get a tuner to calibrate your speedo. Sooooo, if your not doing the install on your gears, then you can easily spend $1000 for the gears, install and a tuner.

You will not see a real decrease in mpg even if you do alot of highway driving basis on my driving habits. The reason is that you won't real the need to drop into 4 gear as much on the highway. Overall for me >12,000 miles with 4.10s averaging 400 miles per week in the pass year and half my mileage as the same or 1 mile per gallon less averaging 18-19 highway/city.

Who owns the car as in, is it paid for yet? Do you pay for your own insurance and gas? If the loan is in YOUR name and you pay for gas and insurance. Do whatever you want.

Otherwise, get over it. I think you'll find that if you're not covering your own insurance as in your own policy, you are getting out DIRT cheap. Try quoting your insurance with YOU as the only person on the policy. Can you say "rape"?

BTW to the one that said Lie and say OOOps they sent the wrong ones, that's fine, I'd tell my kid to ship em back and get the right ones.
