Ahh supercharger help
Again, looking for a supercharged mustang found an 02 GT withonly 26k miles. The problem is that it's procharged he said it has 8lbs of boost. I asked him what kind of MAF he said it looks stock... Asked him what injectors he said pink... if I buy a larger MAF will the stock injectors be fine? he also said he didn't know about the fuel pump... If I buy I wan gonna have it tuned ASAP would this be good enough or did someone procharge a car and not know what they are doing? The price is righttho!
Ehhhmmm, I would have a problem buying a modded car from someone that didn't know jack about what was done to it, because that's what it sounds like.. I about feel out of my chair laughing at the "pink" injectors bit.. LOL Seriously, IF it was a factory bought procharger kit, it would've come with at LEAST 42# injectors.. Some of the D-1 and F-1 series kits come with 60#'rs or better, though those are usually an upgrade.. Either way, see if the guy objects to taking the car to a good tuner so you have the tuner tell you EXACTLY what's on the car, and what kind of shape it's in it. Also, you CAN run a procharged 2v on the stock cast internals, but if you're going to be pushing any power out of it, you really should have forged internals (i.e. forged rods, rings, hypereutectics and crankshaft).
Long story short, there are just WAY too many questions in my mind, and I'm really not trying to be rude, but it sounds to me like the guy you talked to couldn't tell his own *** from a hole in the ground when it comes to cars. A poorly modded car is just BEGGING for trouble brudda. I wouldn't risk it if I were you..
If you're dead set on going after this thing, PM me and I can give ya a more extensive list of things you should really check into before ya buy it..

I agree on the injectors/maf though, something doesn't seem right. Ask him if he had a dyno sheet etc. I can't remeber if the procharger setups are different, but I don't see any way a 8 PSI car is going to be OK with a stock MAF, it would at least need something like a mafia to keep it from pegging.
No matter what you do, NEVER swap the maf/injectors or almost anything else on a FI 2v, espcially with stock motor, without checking the tune. Changing the MAF without at least doing a a/f and dyno check would be suicide.
I nevermean that it couldn't or shouldn't be done.. I just don't like the idea of buying a 2v with a S/C on it when I don't know what else was done to it.. If the guy is calling the injectors "pink", he could be mistaking 8-psi for 18-psi for all we know.. I know guys that have run pro-chargers, vortec SQ's, and paxton novi kits on 2v's for years with no problems whatsoever. I just think the OP should REALLY check into this before he even considers buying the car is all.. One slip up in the tune is all it would take to severely screw the engine.. Not to mention that the OP did not mention the guy saying whether or not there was any cooling like an intercooler or aftercooler involved.. Just trying to save the OP a little ***-pain so he doesn't buy the car and it goes boom a week after he gets it because something was phucked up..
I'd have to agree on the MAF. You really should have a 90mm MAF, and probably throttle body, and plenum upgrades too, though the only one you REALLY should get is a bigger MAF.Any centrifugal kit like the procharger will be shoving more air through that factory MAF than it can handle, and I would think just about any blower would.. Like you said, changing anything having to do with the fuel and/or intake systems pretty much requires a tune..

There is no problem running a ProCharger with 8 lbs of boost on a stock motor as long a you have a good tune. ProCharger recommends upgrading your stock MAF to a Lightning MAF for applications of 10 lbs of boost or more. I had to upgrade using a Diablosport MAFia because of other intake and exhaust mods. Open the hood and check the injectors yourself. If they are pink don't buy the car. Running a ProCharger requires two fuel mods: fuel injectors and fuel pump. If the injectors are pink they probably didn't upgrade the fuel pump either.
The reason I said to check is that I can't imagine being able to tune the car with 19 lbs injectors. 42 lb injectors are a light green. There is no way you could mistake the two.

^^Ahhh.. I never really paid much attention to the color coding on the injectors, I just know the numbers, as I'm running the 42#'rs myself, I just didn't do the install so I didn't know what color they were. I'd have to agree with you there. And having the stage 2 P-1 on my mach, there's no way in hell you could tune the car with 19#'rs and a stock MAF. I don't know that it would even run, and if it did, it'd be VERY rough I would think..
made 433rwhp and 406rwtq on 8psi witha 2002 mustang gt with a procharger intercooled and had a powerpipe on e85.we use a BA2600 MAF blow threw style. 60lb injectors and a ford gt pump(255lph)w/BAP. stock lines and rails.
if you do a draw threw MAF style get a lightning MAF. if you go a blow threw style go with a BA2400 or BA(something).

Hmmm... Well I want a freaking 02+ GT supercharged with a mild tune I have up to 12.5 to spend really... Both of the guys with the supercharged stangs I'm looking at don't know jack about their cars. One guy said everything was done by the dealership before he got it and that it is all covered by warrenty for another 2 years. The problem is that the car has 70k miles and the s/c has 23k! Maybe I will have to hold off on both of these. I'll see if the guy will bring it to a shop, the other guy said he will use datalogging on his SCT and get an air/fuel graph for me and I was gonna have the local dyno shop take a look at that.
^^Yah wellllllllll, if the guy is agreeable to having the car taken to a shop, have them look at the engine inside as close as they can without charging you for doing an assessment.. If they're cool they may do it for free, or maybe a few bucks. Honestly it's easier just to get the car and buy the unit separate.. At least that way you know what's done to the car.. Buying an already modded car from a guy that doesn't know anything about it is just asking for a headache OP.. If the one guy has an SCT for the PCM, hopefully it's been tuned.. You could have the dyno shop take a look at it, but I'm still leery of it.. And for SURE stay away from the guy that said the car had "pink" injectors.. Cause as other guys have said those definitely aren't the 42#'rs that should've been installed with the kit, and I know they're not 53 or 60#'rs..
I'd do some more looking around and just be a little more patient, maybe put some more cash back, and maybe get a better deal brudda..
And sxynerd, I read comic books.. LOL I have 128 of the 174 issues from the first run of Spawn in the middle 90's.. lol Not to mention a bunchof other comics fromthe early 80's..
