Default Supercharger comparison

I've been lookin at different superchargers for my 2000 GT for some time now. I think I've got it narrowed down to two: Kenne belle, or ATI Procharger (P-1SC).

The Kenne belle comes in 6,9, and 14 psi. The procharger comes in 8,10, and 12.

I dont want to run the risk of burning pistons, so 9 PSI would be my max, but i think 8 would be safer. Thats basically my only concern with the systems. If anyone has any extra info (maybe to sway me one way or the other) let me know.

You wont really hurt the pistons unless you get some bad ignition detonation. What you need to be scared of is the fact that you have Powder Cracked rods and they dont hold up under pressure very well at all. Dont go over 9 pounds of boost and if you do run 9 lbs, get a really good tune.

The Kenne Bell is instant boost and according to KB themselves, the 2.2 doenst get into full boost till you hit about 4000 rpms. But you are gonna go with the 1.7 probably.

The Procharger is a good blower. Self lubed yada yada. Its easy to stay out of boost of a centrifugal because it builds boost as the engine builds rpms... nothing like the KB.

It all really depends on what you want all in all. I prefer the KB myself.

Another vote for the Vortech. I think the KB is better suited for 4V's.
