Default O2 Sensor Replacement Which Length?

Ok so kinda got some good news back from the Ford house. They told me that Bank 1 rear O2 sensor is faulty. I called AutoZone to see how much it cost, but they told me there were two different lengths. One is a 10 1/2" and one is a 18 1/2". Again, this is Bank 1 and Rear O2 on my 2004 GT. Thanks Guys!

DON'T GET A SENSOR FROM AUTOZONE, it won't work right!! one of the oxygen sensors went bad on my car recently (i think bank 1 sensor 2, same as u) and when i pulled the old one off...wouldn't u know it, it was a cheapy aftermarket sensor.

go to http://www.partscheap.com/ and give them a call. they'll hook u up with an OEM oxygen sensor for cheaper than anywhere else. that's who i went through to get mine and i have no complaints

+1 on NOT going to AutoZone, at least go to NAPA or the site he listed above.

I do believe that your gonna need a 10 1/2 though because the 18 1/2 should be for the front.

No! Motorcraft FTW! I went through several Bosch O2 sensors when I had my neon ([:'(]), I sold the car before trying the dodge ones. When the sensors went out on my Focus I got the OEM ones and never had a problem.

EDIT: Napa's website says "OEM STYLE BSH 15716" which is the Bosch. If that's the case then Oreilly's has 'em cheaper...?

IDK man, I cant help you on brands, I've never had this problem. I would listen to art02gt and check with the stealership on the prices for Motorcraft.

All that means is that they'll plug right in to the existing connector on the car. You can try your luck with a bosch sensor, it might work.

+1!! The sensors for my Focus were $117 for the front and $120 for the rear. I'm assuming it'll be a similar price for our cars.

Hmm...well i try going to Motorcrafts website to find the oem part number. It shows two different ones for downstream, and one for upstream. Which one is it??? Here's the part numbers:

RR - DOWNSTREAM - LH - XR3F-9G444AA

FRT - UPSTREAM - XC2F-9F472AA

RR - DOWNSTREAM - RH - 1R3A-9G444AB

Any idea of what these cost at the Ford house (other than an arm and a leg...?)
