My service engine soon light came on and i need to know how to clear it. I have the diablo predator with a custom tune. I think if you disconnect the neg battery terminal it will clear it but will that mess up my tune at all?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you should find out what the code is and why it came on first. the predator should be able to clear the code for you, its in the instructions. disconnecting the battery may clear the code and it wont mess up your tune. but using the predator will clear the codes without resetting your fuel trims

you could do either or.

 

Before anything unhook the battery for around 45 minutes to reset the computer. When you hook the battery back up wait for a minute. If your "Service Engine Soon" light goes back on then check it for codes.

Actually the ECU only keeps the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) for 7-10 minutes.

OP, everything that everyone has said is correct and you should really scan to see what the code is before you clear anything out.

 

+1- a benefit to the tuner is to read codes, why not use it
