starting to have a problem with my 02 gt. if i get on the car and build up speed then toss it in neutral and coast the car idles for a second then stalls out, but wont stall out when in neutral and sitting still. its a 5spd if that makes a difference, any advice you have would be appreciated.

I've noticed the same thing happening to my car. It's an 02 GT w/ 5spd. It usually does it after I've been out on the interstate like today, I drove back to Concord from Salisbury which is about 20 minutes @ 70mph. Then while cruising through Concord, I'm coasting down a hill, clutch pushed in and car still in 4th, and the car cuts off. Really sucks when you are trying to steer or stop without power.

 

do you have an aftermarket t-body. When i installed my bbk t-body i had to adjust it.

 

No, but the guy that had this car before I did had some lame a$$ throttle body spacer installed. I will be taking that off tomorrow, that might help a lot.

 

My 02 gt does the same thing...

 

Funny, my 02 also does the same. Usally happens after i hit the off ramp after crusing on the highway at 65-70 for 10 minutes, clutch in, hit nuetral, drops rpms and dies.

Well, I don't feel so bad now. I thought I was the only one.

 

Do you have a CAI? Mine does the same but only after I installed the K&N FIPK.

 

Yeah, just CAI. Everything else is stock.
