E/T Streets

E/T Streets
My roommate got a pair of M/T E/T Streets (the slicks), 26x10.5 I believe they were, mounted on a 16 inch amercan racing bullit replica. They came from a friend of his that had a 94 GT, so I know they'll fit my car.
I'm hoping to head to the track on Tues, and my roommate said I can use them.
Now, everyone I know says at my almost near-stock power level, I'll break something, or bog big time. Just wanted a little advice.
If I can't use them, he doesn't really know what he has, and he said he'll sell them to me for $200 (it also comes with the same 2 16 inch wheels for the front, wrapped in some rubber I've never heard before, but has tread left). And how much do you think the whole set would be worth? The mickeys have about 80% tread left.

Just the rubber alone is worth over 200 bucks. Great dealespcially if he is selling you a set of 4 with rubber/rims for the front.
I sold a set of 15 inch stock mustang rims + MT ET streets (275/50s) for 200 bucks, so your getting a great deal with all 4 etc.

So you think putting in the 4.10s will be allow to actually use them? Because I don't think I'd keep them on, especially since the stang is my DD until I buy another beater.
The 4.10s on my normal Cooper Zeons would probably kill my traction.

try to slip the clutch out some. If you rev it high and dump the clutch you'll increase the chance of something breaking. You'll probably be fine for a few passes but keep in mind that's it's a crap shoot and have a back up plan, just in case.

I was never really thinking about dumping, thats probably how I fooked my stock clutch up so badly. I was going to slip it anyway. I think I should just go to the track on my coopers, since its my first time at the track anyway.
Ill throw the E/Ts on and stuff and ride around a bit, try to really feel if its even worth it.
To be honest, I'd rather just sell them and get money towards a winter/dd.
