Default 2 step ?

I know some of you guys are running 2 steps that have manual trannys and it works off the clutch. I kknow that when the clutch is pressed down it activates it. What I need to know is are you having any problems with it when you shift going down the track. Every time you push the clutch to shift while going down the track don't it activate the two step and cause your rpms to drop down? Discuss.

I don't have the 2 step, but NO, it does not activate when your going down the track. IT only works if your 1000 RPM below the set limit.

I was going to buy one after the last post, it seemed really cool..but shoot, 230 dollars? AND i gotta spend 30 minutes to install it, when i can spend 100 dollars more and get a tuner that does more than just stall my RPMs.

Are you talking about the MSD 2 step or a different brand? MM&FF claimed that the 2 step from MSD would in fact activate if you pushed the clutch all the way to the floor while running.

I just went to MSD's website and looked the instructions up. You are right. I guess MM&FF didn't read the instructions because they said the driver didn't push the clutch all the way to the floor during the runs to keep from activating the 2 step.

only problem is that the tuner cuts fuel which is bad for boosted cars, thats why I bought mine. and the neutral rev limit on my tuner doesn't seem to work.

Yep, the MSD 2 step cuts spark instead which is why I'm going with it. I havea diablo revolutions chip anyway so it's just not practical for me to get the tuner. The MSD 2 step is much quicker to change the settings as well.

With the SCT, once your car reaches a speed of 1mph, the 2 step deactivates.

winner winner chicken dinner, right here.

You set up the parameters in Advatage 3 to set a certain neutral rev limit then disable that neutral rev limit once the VSS picks up 1mph or more.

I was about to say the same thing. If I'm rolling at all I can push in the clutch and it'll rev past the 2 step limit
