Default Question Seeking advice???

I own a 2000 mustang convertable..... I have put Magna flow, 70mm throttle body, pulley's,C&L plenum, fenderwell cold air, and headers.... what would i expect to see in the quarter? What about horse power? I think I should get a chip but there are so many manufacturs who is the best?

gt or v6? if you got a gt probably 250ish on the ground v6 and i wouldnt know if you got about $100 strap her
down to the dyno

If it's a GT, there is no way you're putting down 250RWHP. Is your car an auto or stick? If it's a stick, you are probably in the 230RWHP range and an auto around 215-220RWHP. As far as the 1/4, low-mid 14's.

code3GT If it's a GT, there is no way you're putting down 250RWHP. Is your car an auto or stick? If it's a stick, you are probably in the 230RWHP range and an auto around 215-220RWHP. As far as the 1/4, low-mid 14's.


are u sure about that i though 99-04 "maual" dynoed at 230rwhp

to answer the first question get a diablo programmer...and quater mile times if u launch and shift good i do see y u cant do a low 14 high 13..get gears next and u will see even better #'s

Dunno about that, it is a convertible several hundred pounds heavier than the coupe. Also launch is a little different in the convertible.

how is launch different in a convertible? and i heard that the convertibles are only 150 lbs heavier.

I think everyone misunderstood you as being stock for whatever reason.

With headers and a couple intake mods, it's quite possible you have 250+ to the rear wheels.

So what About nitrous, What's the safest kit to use with out damageing pistons/block? The problem is i do not have any dyno places where i live.....

Sorry, you are correct about the weight. As far as the launch, convertible have more flex due to the lack of stiffness thanks to the top. Part of the weight is the added bracing to make up for the top, but it can't completely correct it.
