IAC Cleaning
I know Ford suggests that it just be replaced, however I'm low on cash till payday and just need a temporary solution. Now when I pull it out and clean it I will use carb/throttle body cleaner. My question is: Is there any special things to keep in mind or do while cleaning it? Anything that needs to be lubed? Special Instructions?

I have cleaned IACs (mostly on other cars) with success by using TB cleaner in the air ports, trying to avoid the electrical connection, while working the valve as best I could with a small screwdriver/probe.
When you've got it as clean as you like squirt the insides with CRC-556, or AdvanceAuto/Ace Hardware's spray lube, or any other somewhat heavy bodied rattlecan all purpose lubricant. Blow it out with low pressure air if you've got it, if not just let it drip dry for a bit.
Avoid things that have silicone as they will foul up your O2 sensors, and WD-40 which is a great water displacement compound (hence the name) and cleaner--but a downright horrible lubricant...
