Exclamation Coilovers

can anyone tell me if coilovers are a good idea or not. i really want them because i have a feeling that once i can, the car is gonna get some auto-x time and possibly some track time next summer and i wanna have a decent system in place so i can actually handle the track time. and the aspect that i can make my car look slammed for car shows isnt bad either. i was looking at eibach's pro-street s coilover kit and was wondering if there was any way that i could find one cheaper or if there was a better system than that for adjustability that i could possibly set my car up one week for drag racing and the next for auto-x or road course. any input to this subject would really help. im trying to make up my parts list so i can start saving for it and have a set goal. so any info on suggestions, prices, other kits to consider, any other suggestions on different suspension than coilovers, etc is much needed and appreciated.

check out stangsuspension.com They have a good set of coil overs..you'll need new adjustable struts and shocks, caster camber plates, and to top it off some good tires

Go to Maximum Motorsports. They make just about every suspension part imaginable. And they have a lot of kits that actually work fairly well.

well my problem is definatly price. their kits are like 1500 bucks and eibach's kit is 1159. it might not be adjustable for drag racing or whatever but thats something im willing to give up. i also looked at MMR's coilover packages. they seem like they are reasonable and they look cool too and they carry some good rear shocks but they only carry drag struts. is there any struts that would be good for the auto-x and the drag strip???

I really like KONI shocks and struts. A lot of people will say Bilstein is the way to go but IMO their valving is not as good as Konis.

I have QA1 front and rear coilovers but they are probably out of your price range. I paid $600 something for the rear and $1200 for the front with Kmember.

MMR coilovers can fit all kinds of different shock/struts. Not just the ones they sell. I have the fronts on mine.

Maximum Motorsports if you are going to be doing auto x and road racing. I would trust there stuff for that type of racing.

do you think that the eibach coilover kit would work for me though since they are a bit cheaper than the rest???
