EGR pressure sensor affect anything?
Hey guys I need to know if this affects the performance of my car any? the reason i ask is because it keeps melting the hose connected to it or the actual sensor ive had to repalce it twice. If it doesnt affect anything ill just leave it as is and not worry about it till i register my car again.

that hose is most likely melting due to too much exhaust backpressure. usually a plugged converter or dented pipe.

A plugged converter would make the boost go up, not down.

Yup, works just like constipation--clogged tail pipe = higher pressure...

if you are running a turbo the high backpressure and lowered exhaust flow of a plugged cat will slow the turbo down and reduce boost.

What makes you think he has a turbo?

This is quite true, and also entirely irrelevant to this discussion...
