I don't get why are you so insistant on getting a 3" catback. As stated above, anything over 2.5" is no good.

another reason for the 3", is it'll be louder than others. i have also heard that anything over 2.5 is too big for N/A cars. 3" is good for F/I.

I'd say go with the 3" catback. It'll definitely be one of very few cars out there with it. As far as losing power, you might lose maybe a miniscule amount. However, that shouldn't really matter because if it did then everyone would buy the exhaust system that provides the most horse power gains instead of the exhaust they personally like the best. And if that was the case then some of the most widely known exhaust companies would not even exist. The 3" exhaust will not hurt your car and it'll be extremely cool to have one AND it'll be effin loud as ufck...do it...!!

Lol I still don't understand why you would be ok with losing a bit of power when you can instead lose none?

Yep, (correct me if i'm wrong) you want the exhaust gasses to shoot out with some momentum and not have it "hang around" inside the exhaust pipes.

Well strider (thats a cool name) you're actually losing hp with those chambered super 40's from flowmaster. A straight through muffler (like dynomax and/or pypes) would give you more hp then the ones you have. I think its more a matter of preference when it comes to exhaust. So why would you be ok with losing a bit of hp when you can instead lose none? It's a matter of personal style...

^ true. you will benefit more from a full catback than just weld ons.

i.e. mandrel bent pipes.

Well let me tell you why.

First of all, I know straight-through mufflers are better. If you want to know the story then:

I went to the muffler shop to get my subframe connectors welded on. I've been wanting the SSS catback for quite some time but it's suddenly backordered everywhere and I've been quoted 1-2 months until it gets back. I was given a deal at my muffler shop since they had some flowmasters. So I just thought of getting them so I can mess around with them until the SSS catback comes back to stock. Kinda regret it though, but I will get the SSS sooner or later. My exhaust plans are just not #1 anymore. And I don't think I am LOSING HP with them, at least in relative to the stock ones. I'm just not getting as much as straight through ones.

Oh but thanks for the compliment bout my name...562cobra doesn't seem to like it though
